The thickness of metal materials that can be welded by a 3000 watt laser welding machine is usually between 5mm and 12mm, suitable for welding thicker materials such as common carbon steel and stainless steel. For example, in automobile manufacturing, a 3000 watt laser welding machine can be used to weld thicker car parts, such as frames. In addition, a 3000 watt laser welding machine can typically achieve a penetration depth of about 3mm, which is influenced by various factors such as welding parameters and material properties.
For stainless steel plates, a 3000 watt laser welding machine can weld stainless steel plates below 8mm.
